This is Buckminster Fuller’s Synergetics.
Buckminster Fuller published his magnum opus Synergetics in the 1970s. In 1997, R. W. Gray scanned the text and made it freely available online. His site, Synergetics Online, has been the primary digital reference since.
This project carries that lineage forward into 2026. It brings the complete text over page by page from Gray’s digitization, with additional editorial help from Buckyverse.org — rebuilt with modern web-tech.
The site is built on Quartz, chosen for its fervour for bidirectional linking, among many other things. See the Systems Manifest for the full tool stack.
What you can do:
- Navigate — use the explorer in the sidebar, or head to the Table of Contents
- Search — find anything across the full text
- Ask — the AI assistant is grounded on the whole book
- Share — copy a direct link to any paragraph and send it to someone
- Report — the feedback button on this page takes anonymous input, no login needed. You can also open an issue directly on GitHub

This example here shows the original printed diagram, paired with its web redesigned interactive version. While it is the only diagram I did this to, it does a good job of showing where the horizon might be.
